Learn from the mistakes of others

well, having gone to a lot of trouble to get my car back on the road .. it up and dies...well, kinda

it starts. it idles beautifully. it won't move more than a few metres/feet before it stops. just pushing the accelerator is enough to stall it. fuck, fuckity, fuck, really.

not being a mechanic, i have no idea what the problem might be. a friend of mine spent about five hours with me yesterday working our way throughthe fuel system, the electricals, and checking the tuning ... no deal. they're all fabulous now.

but the car won't go anywhere. fuck it.

download the latest acrobat reader. sure. view acrobat pdf files ... no way.
download again (only about 8.6M) and try again. nothing doing.
uninstall all versions of acrobat (somehow there are two?) and try installing again. no.
ok. uninstall. reboot. delete all traces of acrobat. dl again! reinstall. no dice.
reboot. reinstall. crashes. crashes windows. reboot. now ready to kill something.
works perfectly.
what the fuck!

i know thet ms windows can be a little wierd and abscure at times, but this just don't make any sense. oh well, guess it's just eat shit and die as far as understanding this one.
