job applications are a pain in the arse to write. pages and pages of crap, hoping you've impressed without writing too much. and also hoping that you've done enough.
ten pages addressing person specifications, where they've asked practically the same questions twice: once under essential, and once again under desirable. offering a position across three levels is sheer hell to write for. especially when i'm hoping to get an appointment as high up the scale as i can - so pack in the detail about experience, etc.
and try not to die of boredom in the meantime.
i should point out that i've applied for two jobs in two days. and writing copious amounts of blah for each is tedious.
but either job would be cool.
one is in the ombudsman's office, the other deals with native title issues. either would be fantastic.
