Financial Surprises

The Sun is in your mysterious twelfth house, Steven, and is bringing you a chance to tune into your deeper, more spiritual space. There is no need to work at such a frantic pace. You may even find that life slows down a little to enable you to get a rest at this time.

I finally have all the basic things I need to do my job at UniSA. An email account, textbook, class lists. Things on that front will be less frantic as I can actually prepare for classes now.

Tuesday looks like a good day to approach others and to enjoy a social gathering or a business meeting.

Tuesday is whole-day-at-work day, with the URGA crowd and V for Vengeance in the evening.

Saturn turns direct on Wednesday in Leo which helps matters on the home front and gives you an opportunity to focus on a solution that may be beneficial to all. But you do need to take more care over your finances. Venus moves into Pisces on Wednesday and this is good news for your social life, which seems to be fairly active right now.

Always with the more-care-with-your-money. So much for enjoying myself ...

Mars in your personal financial zone moves to oppose Pluto on Saturday, creating quite a powerful aspect that could indicate a challenge in this zone. If you know beforehand what this could be about, then try and diffuse any tension early on and get a head start at finding the right solution. It is possible that one area of your finances will need to be changed quite dramatically.

*sigh*

Seems as soon as I manage to increase my income, expenses rush to soak it all up ...

Andrew Bartlett's recent post in his blog concerning recent changes to the Aviation Transport Safety Regulations prompted me to comment thus:

The ‘reasonable person’ has just become even more unreasonable.

Our legal system has developed the term ‘reasonable person’ as a term of art over some hundreds of years. It’s not easy to find a clear definition, but it used to be pretty obvious what it meant after you read a couple of quotes.

As a lawyer, I’ll be expected to explain how this law makes any sense to people who have been dragged into court by it. The ease with which these kinds of changes to our laws can be made is more terrifying than the supposed threat they address.

‘Ignorance is no excuse’ is now a very unreasonable part of our ever more terrified body of laws. Laws we’re supposed to not only make ourselves aware of, but take seriously.

Go read his post.
