Learn from the mistakes of others

I *wish* that our speaker at graduation had been this guy or somebody similarly neat/good... Obviously what he says is absolutely the truth, and in the USA it's particularly the truth for English (or Rhetoric) majors at Berkeley -- the profs there are relentless about forcing us to learn to question absolutely everything. It's similar to what I encountered in my one law course, and made it impossible for me to have a "normal" discussion. (Everyone that tries quickly decides to not do that with me again, because I lost the concept of there being a winner or loser or even a coherent end -- I'll just keep probing until something forces me to stop.)
