~ Scan my interest list and pick out the one that seems the most odd to you, or that needs clarifying.
~ I'll explain it in my own, very honest style.
~ Then you post this in your journal so other people can ask you about your interests.

sure thing.

Heathen Sent is the latest graphic storytelling endeavor from writer Christopher Stuck and artist Jill Johansen of Heathen Sent Studios. Over a year in the making, Heathen Sent is planned as an epic tale of higher beings from many mythologies as they battle, blunder, escape, and scheme to bring about or prevent the end of the world.

the other thing, well that was a stupid typo ... [oops] ... fixed it.

i'm interested in shamanism generally.

i'm not a practitioner of any formal shamanic tradition, but i certainly don't fit into many of the other shamanic paths either.

to me, shamanism is two related things:
  • a set of practices - tools, technologies, call them what you will; and
  • the context within which those are practiced by the practitioner.
    a shaman requires a community to be a shaman. the practices of shamanism operate to serve the needs of other people. the person who practices on/by themselves alone is not a shaman.

    i operate within a small pagan community.

    ideological warfare:

    (1) war conducted for ideological purposes;
    (2) war conducted through ideological means: esp, propaganda.

    i came up with the term while writing my phd (which i have since dropped, for many reasons) only to discover it was already out there.

    i have seen it in use in political and information warfare circles.
