Learn from the mistakes of others

i've been busy lately with stuff-i-have-to-get-out-of-the-way™

dealing with some baggage, tying up some loose ends.

and i've discovered that applying for the dsp is a stupidly time-consuming process.

i am also devoting a lot of time and effort towards getting a (new) job - one which will give me the means to get out and about more, move closer to the city, do stuff i enjoy and get paid for it for a change. with so many of my friends living just north or just west of the city, i am beginning to look to move in that direction. preferably into a place by myself, so i can find out a bit more about who i am and what i'd do with my won space.

my plans for the next few months are simple:

1. get a job
2. move to a place of mine own
3. finish tying up the education stuff ... probably take the grad cert ed
4. make (more) time to get out and see my friends, and
5. roll around in the simple happiness of living my life

i get easily absorbed in some of life's little tragedies ... more absorbed than is healthy. i'm working on that right now, but it will be an ongoing process i suspect.
