day one

well, that was day one.

highlights of today:
  • reading the 100 page pleading
  • working with an old friend
  • reading the 100 page pleading
  • my own office
  • reading the 100 page pleading
  • a pleasant chat with my ex
  • reading the 100 page pleading
ah. the joy of lawyering.

me so happy :)

Reading pleadings and motions written by long winded lawyers usually makes you a better lawyer in the long run.

It also makes you hate lawyers.

these are half the size of the original.

and they're not so bad. [apart from not pleading many specifics.]

today i started on the discovery. we get to work our way through 5,000 folders. or is it 5,000 boxes of files (average of ten per box). meh.

lawyering is fun.

well, the lawyering might not always be fun. but i have fun with the people i lawyer with.

that's pretty good.

also - not sure if you got my text about tomoro night... movies at marion? or at least a drink? is marion ok to get to? am doing usual trick of trying to see more ppl at once so I can see them all before i go....
