X2

So X2.
What is it that makes us human?
Everyone has had a go at this question. A few have even used more leather, more latex.
But damn what a rush!
Well, mostly...
Still, I loved the kit, and the toys. Mazda RX-8 with bi-fold doors. Want one. In blue. Not so sure about the plane, but nothing's perfect.
Pity about the Mk II Wolverine (did anyone get a name?) - I was beginning to hope she'd make it ... the adamantine solution (so to speak) was obvious. Oh well.
Xenophobia.
Another theme done to death, and back again. Some cute touches though.
Ending? Well, I think the preceeding T3 trailer says it all, and M2. War. We have a fascination for it, with it. Always trying to understand it, always finding new ways to portray it, new ways to glorify or romaticise it. Is it really just about fear of 'other'?
Me I always liked Rogue. Particularly back in the early days of X-Men when I was reading comics. Here we have a veritable bevvy on both sides - except the almost incidental 'normal' humans ...

Preoccupation with the ultimate weapon.
Apparently there has to be one, all powerful weapon that can blow the bad guys away, for all time. And one person holds the key. Luckily, working together, everyone else can win out in the end. Good old teamwork.

Big bad
Why do the big bad always get away? And why do they always have such seemingly appealing, but rather two-dimensional philosophies? They can learn to change their tactics, but never their minds...
The good guys have robust positions, but are 'flawed' by their emotions... which help them win out in the end, but at great cost. The bad guys are rational - and fail because of it - or go on to the sequel with an equally illogical plan to rule/conquer the world. Big brains, big plans, but always failing because of hte 'humanity' factor. Or they go and rely on the ultimate weapon, which of course fails for one reason or another. Usually some silly flaw they overlooked.

X interests me because everyone is interdependent. Humans beget mutants who then have to try to live together. I like the introduction of Nightcrawler, not everyone is from North America. Wonder if the next movie might step out of the box and focus on somehtign happening elsewhere in the world?

Love the suits ...

Liked the movie alot..

There is no way they can go into the seperate entity Dark Phoenix blah blah...way to much for the average movie payer (err goer)
I am slightly upset that Rogue didn't go anywhere...wtf? She needs to absorb someone already.
Colossus? as a cameo was way too much of a tease..why is this guy not already in a leather suit?
Where the hell is Gambit?

I know I am impatient.

I'm not a big fan of gambit so not missing him at all... and clossus... very cool cameo agreed... i just hope that they dont do what they appear to have been threatening for the last 2 films and introduce Jubilee as a main character - she pisses me off big time...
