job interview

perhaps i should do a quick update, having been busy of late.

friday last i applied for a twelve month contract position in another section of the crown.

friday past i was informed that i was offered an interview. would i mind? how about monday afternoon? 13:30, 14:30, 15:30? [13:30 is right after lunch, mmm. no. 15:30 is afternoon tea.]

so, i have an interview at 2:30pm.

the job?

legal advisor, to ministers, regarding effectiveness of proposed legislation - effectiveness in achieving proposed objects (essentially, how well legislation as drafted is likely to achieve the aims of the policy it was drafted for :)

That is essentially what [profile] lawyerlee does for some state officials in the fine middle american state of Kansas. And I am preeminently jealous of her job, even though it stresses her the hell out.

this is one of the jobs i've had in mind for a while now. i could happily do this for a few years. particularly as i used to advise some professional bodies and universities in a similar manner (though not as a lawyer).
