if money and time were no object?
i'd start a consulting trust, with philanthropic offshoots.
the organisation would hire geniuses and gifted people, as well as other oddball freaks that were creative and kickarse. we'd hire ourselves out as crack troubleshooters and problemsolvers.
the philanthropic arms would foster and develop effective, practical education programs for gifted and talented kids. we'd also encourage them to researcha nd explore their own abilities and problems. and do some of that ourselves. rigourously.
not to mention some effort into debunking/testing ideas and myths in education and other areas of social advantage.
along the way, we'd have a crack at finding ways to actually develop more effective organisational mechanisms (including our own) for managing and developing societies. [by this i mean, groups of people desiring to have a common identity as a group - including corporations and other 'artificial' societies.]

from 93-94 i had a business that did pretty much this - just limited to info tech fuck-ups. it was a bit patchy, but some of the work was awesome, interesting, and paid very well.
only this time, i'd invite a few people i know to join the party.

I'm working on a machine that keeps telling me "secondary master HDD error" every time it's booted. Every time - whether the secondary master hard disk is connected, or if it's connected the wrong way around, or not connected, or a CD drive, or anything else.

mind you, i'm more of a systems analyst than tech support.
and my programming befits a hacker more than a postgraduate computer scientist.
[neither of which prevented me from participating in the early development of the linux kernel. up to about kernel 0.94 or so.]
