maelorin at 08:53pm on 02/06/2003hmm. after many, many years reading science fiction and fantasy, i've begun reading crime fiction.
this is interesting for several reasons. first, i've discovered that i like the work of female crime authors as much as i did those writing fantasy. second, i'm encouraged to realise that i am able to simultaneously analyse the stories forensically (i'm a lawyer after all) and still be able to enjoy reading the books as entertainment.
mind you, most of the books available on the market are written from the perspective of the usa - so, for me, they offer a comparative perspective on criminal procedure and criminal law.
