for managing university courses (once the university's terminology got straightened out to fit the software).

and yes. it is just as stupid in practice.

so, i've been doing a lot of walking. and cursing. and walking. and filling in forms (that the computer system was supposed to replace three years ago). i suppose the fact that the forms are available, in a stack in the school office, says it all.

goddess i wish i'd been paid au$20 million to decide what should have been done to replace the old computer system.

why the f does everyone have to follow fads. really. off-the-shelf. yes. generic. yes. designed for managing education programmes of any kind. i think not.

yeah, it dumb, but its been a while. and i've had a system crash in the meantime.

i'm looking to get the original again. its large. its astronomical. it probably came from a nasa image collection. at least a year or more ago.

can anyone help? (i'm working my way through nasa's archive, but they're very generous ...)
