here's a curly question (if a bit odd ;)
i've forgotten where i got the image i use as my default icon.
yeah, it dumb, but its been a while. and i've had a system crash in the meantime.
i'm looking to get the original again. its large. its astronomical. it probably came from a nasa image collection. at least a year or more ago.
can anyone help? (i'm working my way through nasa's archive, but they're very generous ...)

if i could remember that, i'd have found it myself ;)
i think its a nebula - but i'm not sure.
the image to which i refer, is of course the eye-like image on black background.
i took a 1600x1200 image, cropped it, and shrunk it to 100x100.

Its here http://herschel.jpl.nasa.gov/science/starsAll.html under section 6 entitled "the star dies, enriching the ISM". Bottom row of images, far right.
At least, I'm fairly certain that's the one.

many, many thanks. been going mad as i hunted through thousands of images. now i have a concrete clue where the original large format image might be - on the hubble site.
again, many thanks.

incidently, the image was taken by the hubble telescope. it is the 'eskimo' nebula. (if anyone is interested, i can provide more details ;)
i chose it because it looked kinda like an eye with something reflected onto it. (reference to a conversation i'd had at the time.)
