You sound like an interesting person, but I am not surprised someone of many interests and abilities is shut out of the labor market so often. I have come to realize the cruel facts of life about employment. People who do the hiring are pathologically narrow minded.

they are doing what was done to them.

people are hired because of who others think they are ... and more importantly, on whether those people think the new person will 'fit in'. and if you don't conform to the culture promptly, you're doomed.
