I have a week and a half to get the paperwork in now, to be in the running for an APA scholarship.

Go scholarship!

The gainfully employed might not agree, but from the point of view of someone on welfare, those things are lucrative. Kiss goodbye to poverty at least.

I have a chance at the APA, but by no means certain. It's worth $20K tax free.

I will be working half-time nonetheless, teaching and doing research as part of the aged care nursing project. With both, I'd be on similar money to full-time Lecturer A's ...
