It has been recently pointed out to me that I need to get a life, preferably my own life.
After trying to think of something other than my thesis to write about, for some time now, I've come to the unfortunate conclusion that I lead a pretty shallow existence at the moment.
Regardless of the why and how of my life, it is time to move on, and hopefully move out, into my own life and my own life.
Accepting that I spend too much time in my own head, still leaves me with the how of getting out and getting on. At this point, I have limited interests with even more limited scope for social interaction. There's only so much you can say about a law thesis before people get bored, or loose interest.
So. A hobby or something that gets me out and meeting people?
Well, I've joined a book reading group - but that only meets once a month. So, something more is required I think.
Social phobias. Excellent stuff.

Yessum
I'm thinking of getting out to the movies more often as well. Might keep my tickets and write a journal of my thoughts about each one. Might even do the same for the book I read.
But that might get a bit nerdy?

Otherwise... make the move and go to URGA sometime. You just might find that you get along with that lot really well. They all sit around and talk various geek things all the time... while I sit there bored trying to turn the conversation back to films and/or TV. ;)
"Just do it."
