Learn from the mistakes of others

i agree about the soundtrack , i quite liked it.... so the movie.... ive watched it twice now, i wasnt sure what i thought about it the first time as it was so much to take in (it was long in such a way that it felt like you were watching 3 episodes of a tv show back to back), but i totally loved it... there are some interesting points in it, questions answered (like the whole why do some people search for morpheus, kind of thing which was never really answered in the 1st one - in other words how did Neo know to look for morpheus to ask him what the matrix was.... also the whole machine thing, it was nice to finally show that there are "good" machines as well - the ones working for Zion).... and some interesting questions to be answered in the next one.... the whole idea of fate is a ripper - the idea that that fate can then be betrayed - obviously Neo will beat the machines in the next one and save everyone before the matrix/machines kill them... i like the subtle blend of christian theology (neo - being christ the anointed one - he even rose from the dead in part 1) and also the clasical characters of Zion - Morpheus, he who wakes them from sleep... still waiting to get the 411 on Niobe - in Greek myth she boasted she had more children than some goddess or other so she were kids were killed - the children = people of zion? or are we yet to see more, i would be very dissapointed and surprised if the wachowski's randomly picked the name with no meaning behind it.... on the point of names, im starting to think we should be getting someone who is "two"... we have neo, the "one" and we have trinity, the completion of "three" who else thinks they might have a kid in the next one - and then the circle is complete as Vader would say (yes i am a nerd!)... also have to say my favourite part is the inclusion of the "old programmes"... if we take that Neo is christ and he brings with him christianity in a sense then the naming of these programmes as the Merovingians is quite brilliant.... the merovingians are the frankish (thats french to me and you) rulers in europe before Charlemagne and the carolinigians, in esence they are pagan european before the widespread influence of the roman church in the 7th Century AD.... a nice touch i thought... also think that my friend steve (also a archaeologist has studied early christian europe) were the only ones in the room to get that, but Kudos to the wachowskis.... the meanings they put in the names, etc will probably be lost on the majority of the audience, but the few who know can see the real cleverness behind it - i still hear the conversations of "yeah, neo's the one as its an anagram of one".... true, but you have to look deeper... the conversation should continue ".... plus, neos is the greek word for new, which is what he is in a sense, new born out of the matrix system... plus, neo = one = the hebrew's anointed one = christ.... hmmm symbolism...."
