the intelligence on weapons of mass destruction in iraq may have been flawed ... so that's the problem?
i thought the problem was a total credibility failure on the part of the politicians.
no, apparently those clever people over in spook central(s) can't seem to get anything right. must be great to be a spook at the moment.
how do politicians manage the intellectual juggle of arguing that intel needs bigger budgets to get results, but the results they get are flawed ... oh, hang on. they're politicians - grey is the new black.

the war on terrorism is going to continue to be a messy affair for quite some time to come. all manner of motivations and justifications will continue to come under scrutiny. particularly, hopefully, from and by the media.
it's worth pointing out that i'm currently wading knee-deep in a masters examining the legal responsibility of media organisations for disseminating propaganda - at least, such liability as might be recognised under international criminal law. sometimes i forget to take off my waders...
