it was consistent, it was clever, and it satisfied on many levels. (those who had read the book were pleasantly surprised.)
a nice tidy plot, well cast and well carried characters. and more going on then just a road trip, or special effects.
timeline. well. crichton plot a, again. only even more predictable than usual. (we spent the whole time waiting for a certain person to loose their ear ... and signal the end of the travesty.)

how was big fish as a book then?
would you recommend taking the time to read it before seeing the movie, or would you skip right to the movie? (i can't read a book after i see a movie - my imagination is tainted...)
