Bunnies and Easter Don't Mix
Rabbits are so silky-soft and adorable, especially when they're babies, they're practically irresistible. Before you beg your mom and dad to buy one of those cute bunnies for Easter, here are some things you should know.
Rabbits need care! Care takes time. Even to do the most basic stuff like making sure she has food and water and clean bedding takes time, and rabbits need so much more than that. They need at least a few hours of your time every day. That adds up to a lot of hours when you realize a properly cared for rabbit can live 8 to 10 years.
Another really important thing to think about is that rabbits look very cuddly, but that doesn't mean they enjoy being cuddled by you! Rabbits don't like to be picked up and carried around. It scares them. Wouldn't you be scared if a creature 8 times taller than you suddenly scooped you up in its arms? That's what you look like to a rabbit.
This may sound obvious, but a real live rabbit is totally different from a plush toy rabbit or a rabbit in a story. A real live rabbit has feelings, just like you do. She may want to be left alone just when you feel like playing with her.
If you really really want a rabbit, the first thing to do is to learn as much about them as you can. Our website has tons of information on everything about rabbits.
real rabbits are living animals, unlike fake ones?

why do so many poor little christians fail to understand the history of their religion, or indeed their own culture generally? is is an american thing?
easter is derived from pre-christian european festivals, such as aostra/ostata. its a fertility festival.
oh, and it's supposed to be celebrated in spring ...
