gmail woes, and other tales of doom

has anyone else had problems logging into gmail today?

i get the login screen, type in my details, hit play ... and get caught in an endless loop.

having tried firefox pr1, msie 6.x, and opera and had the same result, i'm now wondering if this is some general problem with gmail, or if i've got a(nother) problem with win xp.

I sometimes have that problem.
I think it might be a bad cookie or when you have a session password that decides not to match the one your computer has?
Tried clearing cookies &/or temporary internet files?
I know they're basic things you definitely know but I thought I might mention it, anyway.
Otherwise it's probably Gmail & not you.

I haven't had any problems but then I access it from the opposite side of the world, I don't know if this makes a difference.

I've had that problem with gmail today. It seems to correct itself if you go back into your screens and load in again from that instead of refreshing.

And firefox will need a patch as there is a bug in it. Just looked at the updates today for it.
