Do You Have A Little Time
Dido

if you're feeling low and lost today
probably doing too much again
spend all your hours just rushing around
do you have a little time for me

slow down my love you're confusing me
if you're feeling stressed just try calling
spend your love waiting for anyone to see
do you have a little time for me

if you should stop for a while
you will find me standing by
over here, at the side of your life
I'd like to hold you still
remind you of all you've missed
if you have a little time, if you have a little time that is

why do you still run when you could walk with me
life will pass you by when you move this quickly
what can you see when you're spinning around
do you have a little time for me

if you should stop for a while
you will find me standing by
over here, at the side of your life
I'd like to hold you still
remind you of all you've missed
if you have a little time, if you have a little time that is

if you let me listen I'll make you feel clear
spend your time waiting for anyone to see

if you should stop for a while
you will find me standing by
over here, at the side of your life
I'd like to hold you still
remind you of all you've missed
if you have a little time, if you have a little time that is

I like it!, even if I expect someone named Dido to sing Remember me, but Forget my fate ;)

Not as yet, though I'm only beginning to get back into showtunes, leave alone music outside my original orbit; my music tastes have- mostly- been limited.

next time you're passing a record store, have a listen to some of her work.

[i understand the 'limited-to-what-i-likeness'™ ... darn aspieness ;)]

*g* Within reason I guess- my primary? obsession seems to be looking for lesser-known composers from a certain time period; the style doesn't change that much, but the differences are magnified for the sharpness of focus after all. (That's not quite true if only because I'm interested in a large number of composers from centuries before and after, but not of the ultra-antiquated or ultra-modern. It also being true that I wonder at my exact diagnosis- sometimes.)

I will, anyroad, and thanks.

i find myself getting addicted to acquiring things - collecting. it's the looking and finding that i seem to focus on.

i have stacks of cd-r's with stuff on them - many i have no idea what's actually on them - cryptic labelling :)

one reason i want a job is to have somethign else to do with my time :)

It was because of that, that I was finally convinced to actually use AppleWorks' database and start writing up lists of my CDs and of the contents of my MP3-CDs, though neither is finished or likely to be and neither is helped by my lackadaisical attitude to labelling (as to... oh look! a floor...) either...

i know exactly what you mean ... and i'm a former professional database programmer/designer/manager ...

my housemate is still amazed/appalled at my visual filing system :)

Whilst I tend to use what is best described in computer science terms as a chronologically ordered heap with a top down sorting algorithm as my storage system.

mine deviates from that a little, as i tend to have relevance and other tags that cause some items to be swapped out to new heaps, or to be relegated to the depths of older stacks. or kept on top as labels.

:)

Hmmm. But then how do you get that nice and shiny substrata of diamond at the base of the heap =9)

oh, i certainly get that. i never said the stacks were small stacks.

but it's hard to know how many gems are buried in there - since i very, very rarely delve down deep enough to find out.

though i might soon. to make way for new, job related stacks.

marticus will be shocked.
