thanks for posting this article, found it very interesting, my mother has untreated aspergers and growing up I found life very unexplainable at times, considering I have my own other illness's it made my getting diagnosed a long and protracted affair going on for years, because I had learnt a lot of aspie ways of communicating by default as it were & the way I explained my symptoms to doctors didn't make sense to them. Anyhow, I've added you as you're on hidden diseases too - if that's not ok, let me know.

my aspieness was first identified two years ago. the discovery made sense of so many things all at once. i was almost 32 at the time.

since official diagnosis last year, things have been getting better and better.

i'm no expert on asperger syndrome, and i've really only made a few light forays into reading about it, but the diagnosis has enabled me to open doors that i couldn't access two years ago.

i'm fine with people adding me as a friend to their journals :)
