Is saying that I would need someone that has a lot of knowledge in survival cheating? Because really, I think I'd just need that, along with those obvious ones--a knife, fishing net, flint, and my kitty!

That wouldn't be wrong at all! I mean, assuming you're planning on doing what I think you're planning on doing with her you definitely would be surviving.

i can handle a reasonable-sized yacht on my own. so she'd be nice to have around for the extra help ;)
