No real surprises with me either, especially with my "far-left" approach to traditional values (which are actually "extreme-right" when it comes to self-determination).
My suprisingly high right wing numbers are due to my believe that a government should actually "govern"; however the traditional right-wing parties have abrograted this responsibility in Australia as well.
The Greens would definitely classify as a "minor" party here in the States. We have three members on the Minneapolis City Council (a liberal political bastion if ever there was one), and they are "active" but they don't meet the 5% statewide requirement to get state funding.
here, they're minor, but they have senators in the federal parliament, and members in houses around the country. they've become perhaps the strongest of the minor parties in recent times - certainly had the strongest growth in votes [unless you count the recently created "family first" party ... O_o]
the centrist-left 'democrats' were the power brokers for more than a decade, until they had some internal manpower changes and fucked their own golden goose ... now they're more than a little lost. it's hard to vote for them now, even thoguh they generally sit about my political views, because they're so dysfunctional. [they're called the democrats because everything in the party is decided by vote ... hence the dysfunction]
One problem with the poll is that 41% of people come out as Green, which doesn't seem to match the overall results of political inclination from this poll or most other polls that indicate Australian political sentiment.
that may represent the leanings of the people who visit the site and choose to do the quiz. check out how many identified as green-democrat-labor compared to the rest of the options.
and i suspect the left leanings on "traditional" skew things towards the greens a great deal.

your minor parties get much less coverage here. [no real surprise i guess]
i kinda mess all about between centre to leftist politically, according to those who know about these things™. i just think of them as my opinions :)
