I've just uninstalled Oracle for the time being.
I might set up a separate user account for it to run under.
250M RAM dedicated to it running the Oracle DB engine in the background is a tad much even for my extravagant aesthetic :)

So unless you have a specific need for Oracle, something like PostgreSQL or even SQLite might do the job.

I'm now htinking I'll install the client version and try connecting to the Uni's Oracle server remotely. From outside the Intranet.
That may be even more challenging.
