Learn from the mistakes of others

ok. so i catch busses to get to school and back again. and while i'm on the bus, i have time to look around. sometimes i even talk to people. that's a great idea. meet new people. yeah.

so, here i am, talking with a friend via some instant messenger protocol [i use the open source im miranda so i have plugins for practically every im client known to geek people, so excuse me if i forget which one :)] ...

maelorin	i made a right {idiot} of myself trying to chat up a blonde on the bus on the way home tonight.

maelorin	got on bus. was crowded. so i was standing.
maelorin	as bus turned corners, i was leaning side to side. bus stopped suddenly. i was stopped by a nice 'blonde' greek girl
maelorin	so. i try to say somethign witty. without thinking.
maelorin	i say something like 'nice. soft'
wookie	oh god, and you do that sooooooooooooooo well...

maelorin	so anyway, she asks what i said .. so i repeat it.
maelorin	and a conversation stutters along.
maelorin	her friend starts playing with her hair ....
maelorin	(her own hair, of course)
wookie	uhuh......
maelorin	i was dying a lot. really had to work at keeping things going.
maelorin	suddenly realise what her friend is doing, and pay attention to where she is looking.
maelorin	was about to say somehting ... when the bus stopped suddenly at my stop.
wookie	you idiot.... lol
wookie	did you get names/numbers?
maelorin	so i looked at the frined, smiled and said 'see you later'
maelorin	i've seen them on the bus before. i'll see them later.
wookie	this is where you stay on bus and chat a bit more... doofus....lol
maelorin	yeah. but the ride back from tee tree plaza is a long one ..
wookie	and????????????????????????
maelorin	and i'm supposed to be doing some work for tommorrow. and i'm a doofus

maelorin	the other blonde actually said 'soon'
wookie	btw, you heard about the lawyer that went in for life saving surgery the other day?

wookie	when he came out from under he was in a ward and the curtains had been drwan around the bed completely....

maelorin	and the rest of the joke?
wookie	so he buzzed the nurse and asked her if everything was ok.... she said "yeah, surgery weas a success, but the was a fire across the street and they didn't want him waking up thinking that he had died......"
