I've just uninstalled Oracle for the time being.

I might set up a separate user account for it to run under.

250M RAM dedicated to it running the Oracle DB engine in the background is a tad much even for my extravagant aesthetic :)

Installed:

XAMPP 1.5.3a for Windows (plus Perl 5.8.7 (2.2.2) add-on for XAMPP)

Once I nut out why mySQL isn't starting/running, it'll be time for the next phase:
