tonight i watched "bride and prejudice". lots of fun was had. i liked it muchly. reminded me of watching bollywood extravaganza's in year 12 when visiting a friend of mine. only this time, i could understand most fo the dialogue and lyrics.
in short: go see. it's fun, and funny. [if you've 'seen the original', this version of jane austen's classic is 'more funner']

So, tell me, is there a wet sari scene in this or have they broken from tradition?

we're a bunch of [mostly] geeky guys with lots of movie-going experience. we all enjoyed it.
it was panned here too. but the cinema was full when we saw it - and a mixed audience.
don't expect too much, and it's a lot of fun. [you know the story going in, so there are no plot surprises. it's a 'sit back and let go show'.]

My favorite, which is quite a serious movie, is Bombay which came out in 1995; no wet sari scenes bit it was a very popular and tearjerking treatmentof the hindu/muslim conflict and violence.

We are living in a college town in the middle of nowhere Pennsylvania (US) so it takes a while for good movies to get here. That said, we do have one theater that shows lots of interntional and indie films, so it will get here sooner or later.
